Bountiful Bread and Mangia support
The American Red Cross 

Cupcakes That Care at Bountiful Bread in Stuyvesant Plaza will donate $1. from each cupcake sold to The American Red Cross through the end of September.  Additionally, Mangia in Slingerlands has created a special pizza designed to lend support to The American Red Cross, donating $1/small or $2/large for each pizza sold.

 Nearly 45 volunteers from your local Red Cross have deployed in response to Hurricane Gustav and in preparation for Hurricane Ike, as part of the Red Cross's largest mobilization of volunteers and supplies since Hurricane Katrina in 2005. 

 At the height of this relief operation, 58,000 people were cared for in 300 shelters across 10 states and we were providing 400,000 meals a day. Red Cross cost estimates currently stand at $100 million.

Your donation allows The American Red Cross to provide families across the nation affected by disasters such as the 2008 hurricanes with food, shelter, counseling and more.  

The Red Cross anticipates spending $25-30 million on Hurricane Gustav relief alone.
